My mom is my heart, my hero, and the glue that holds our family together. She has spent her entire life giving to others—always putting everyone else’s needs before her own. She raised my brother and I after our dad’s passing while also mourning the death of her husband. To me, she has always been Superwoman. She is also playing a vital role in raising her grandson that fought for his life in the NICU for 5 months. Now, she’s in the fight of her life, and we need help.

She has been battling kidney failure while on Dialysis and has been approved for a life-saving transplant. But here’s the heartbreaking part: she cannot get the transplant until she’s medically cleared. As we were waiting on her last clearance, we just found out she did not get it. To get that clearance, she must undergo a crucial medical procedure that costs $10,000.

We simply don’t have the means to cover this expense on our own. Insurance won’t cover all of it, and without it, her chance for a second lease on life will slip away. The clock is ticking, and I’m reaching out, humbly asking for your help.

She is a heart attack survivor and had a triple bypass in 2008.
