Please Help My Mom Fight Leukemia

In January 2024, my mom was diagnosed with leukemia, and our lives changed overnight. Since then, she’s endured over 90+ rounds of chemotherapy. For a short time, we were given a bit of hope when she went into remission — but that didn’t last. Just a month ago, her condition worsened, and she had to begin cellular therapy. And now, in July, we've received even more devastating news: a tumor has started growing on her kidney.

She’s been fighting nonstop, but seeing how much of a toll this has taken on her body has been soul crushing. She struggles daily with intense nausea, body aches, headaches, and fatigue all from her cellular therapy and growing tumor. The medications that help ease this pain and discomfort and especially anti-nausea and pain medications are very expensive, and we have to start paying out of pocket

Since her diagnosis, my mom lost her job, most of her family support, and now we’ve exhausted all of our savings just trying to keep up with monthly bills. Right now, we’re asking for help so we can continue to fight and support my mom

En enero de 2024, a mi mamá le diagnosticaron leucemia, y nuestras vidas cambiaron por completo. Desde entonces, ha recibido más de 90 sesiones de quimioterapia. Por un tiempo breve tuvimos esperanza, ya que entró en remisión, pero eso no duró. Hace un mes su salud empeoró, y tuvo que comenzar terapia celular. Y ahora, en julio, recibimos una nueva y dura noticia: le detectaron un tumor en el riñón.

Ha estado luchando sin descanso, pero el desgaste físico ha sido muy fuerte. Cada día batalla con náuseas intensas, dolores en el cuerpo, dolores de cabeza y mucho cansancio. Los medicamentos que le ayudan a sobrellevar estos síntomas —especialmente los que controlan las náuseas y el dolor— son muy costosos, y no todos están cubiertos.

Desde su diagnóstico, mi mamá perdió su trabajo, gran parte del apoyo familiar, y los ahorros que teníamos se acabaron a los pocos meses de haber empezado este camino.

Hoy estamos pidiendo ayuda para que pueda seguir luchando con un poco más de alivio.
