I hate to do this as I have never had to before. But last March, I was diagnosed with stage 3 cervical cancer. I have gone through chemo and radiation, started immunotherapy, and was supposed to do it for 2 years. A couple of treatments in, my insurance got canceled, and I have been unsuccessful at getting any backup to this point.

About 3 weeks ago, I was in the hospital for 4 days. My hemoglobin was terribly low and crucial; I had to have 3 blood transfusions and 3 iron transfusions. I was supposed to get procedures done after being released with a specialist but was unable to do that as I have no insurance.

I was released, and then within a couple of days of being released, I got a certified letter from the owner of the house we were renting saying we have 7 days to get out because they sold the house. The rent was already paid for that month, so we didn't have enough to move into a new house. We couldn't find a house within that short time, so my kids and I are now living in a motel. I work 7 days a week through all of this. My kids work, but it feels like we are drowning now and don't know how to start over. All of our money that we are making is going to pay motel costs, and we aren't able to save to move. My car has been down for months; I put around $1,000 into it, and still, no one knows what's wrong with it. So, I've been having to share a vehicle with a friend, which is very hard to maintain around my, my son's, and his work schedules with just one vehicle.
