Please help my husband Dave get surgery

Hi my name is Beckie and I've never done anything like this before but I just can't see my husband Dave suffer anymore. Dave has had bowel issues for over 11 years now which causes him great amounts of chronic pain. For the last 10 years he's been told we can't find anything wrong with you, there's nothing we can do and the worst one when we managed to get one private appointment thanks to the generosity of a family member he was told it was all in his head. In all this time the pain has gradually got worse for him and its caused him depression and even triggered non epileptic seizures due to the pain and stress for a while. Now it has gotten to the point that eating has become painful for him and because his appetite has gone down so has his weight. All of this whilst he's still working all hours despite the crippling stomach pain. He is currently prescribed Tramadol for the pain but he will not take it at work as it makes him fuzzy headed. He cannot go onto sick as he is only entitled to SSP and we would not be able to pay our rent.
Finally at the end of last year when we started the process all over again of getting help for him it was found that a small part of his intestine was folding in on itself and needed to be repaired with mesh. After 10 years of no answers we thought he could finally have relief and he was put on a waiting list. He wasn't angry that it had been missed so many times he was just relieved there was an end in sight. He actually had a pre op 2 months ago and we thought he would have an operation within 28 days and yet there's been nothing but silence from the surgeons. He has rang our GP a couple of times who have wrote letters both times to the surgical team about the urgent need for surgery and yet we have still heard nothing. Dave is barely functioning now and gets up for work, uses every ounce of energy at work whilst in mass amounts of pain and comes home and collapses which upsets our daughter as she wants to play with him which also upsets Dave as he just can't play with her. If we could go private then Dave could end the suffering quickly and leave the last decade of pain behind him. Unfortunately surgery is expensive and there is no way we can afford it. I realise these are hard times but we would be so grateful if anyone could help Dave get well and help give us back our husband and daddy. Many thanks for looking at our story.
