Getting closer but my friends still need our help!

UPDATE, AND PLEASE SHARE:

Hi again, all. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this worthy campaign thus far. We are definitely moving in the right direction but are still coming up short in getting these good people across the finish line, and time is running short for them to get the house they are desiring.

That being the case, I thought I would refresh the fundraiser to give folks a second bite at the apple. If you could reach deep to give them the help they are needing, it would be greatly appreciated.

Whether or not you are able to contribute financially, another crucial way to help with this effort would be to share this post on your various social media platforms. Please consider helping in this way as well.

Thanking you in advance for your help.

Hello, friends. I would like to invite you to help with a matter of some importance to me. In recent times here in Rochester, NY, I have gotten to know a family of three: a woman named Adria, Adria’s daughter Brendyn, and Brendyn’s partner James. Sadly, this trio has been down on their luck for quite some time.

To begin, several years back, they moved here from Texas in order to remove themselves from a truly horrific domestic abuse situation; they have chosen to leave behind the familiar surroundings of Texas and make a new life for themselves in Rochester. They have struggled throughout this ordeal with finding lasting gainful employment, at times being homeless.

Desperate to escape their cycle of homelessness, Adria managed a few years back to purchase a house on the north side of town. This house was quite the “bargain,” since it had been condemned and was on the City of Rochester’s demolition list. We are talking about a place that has gaping holes in the ceiling, boarded-up windows, zero kitchen cabinets, and numerous other problems – suffice it to say it is not a nice place for one to call their home. Adria’s plan had been to fix it up herself. Unfortunately, not long after making that house purchase, she was diagnosed with both Lyme disease and fibromyalgia, making any such efforts quite difficult. As a result of this change, they are trying to find a different—and far safer—place to live.

Lo and behold, they have found a cute home that they feel they can afford to buy; *however* to make it happen they will need help to make the down payment, and that’s what this [$16,000] GoFundMe campaign is for. Please consider helping Adria and Brendyn (shown in the cover photo) together with James to cover this cost. I, and I know they too, would greatly appreciate whatever amount you are able to give.
