PLEASE HELP MY FRIEND VICKIE’S FIGHT FOR LIFE
Donation protected
Vickie has been diagnosed with a terminal illness that gives her the life expectancy of up to 2 years. It has placed her on dialysis 3 times a week for which she gets medical transportation to and from because she can't walk full steps. Vickie gets wound care 3 or more times a week for the open wounds on her legs and one on her abdomen that stretches from one side of her body to the other. Her Doctors tell her she will most likely pass away from Sepsis.
She is in unbearable pain most of the day and night. She has been in the hospital 22 weeks out of the past 7 months.
One hospital stay lasted 15 weeks straight where she had to learn how to walk again as well as learn how to do basic every day tasks.
She was advised to go on short term disability right away, and she did .
This month, on Aug 11th, a letter from her job was sent to inform her that as of Aug 15th all of her benefits were terminated. No Medical or Life Insurance . (She recieved this letter.on Aug 17th while she was in the hospital fighting for her life.
She currently has no Medical Insurance and everyone wants to be paid. The calls are coming all day. Every day. She fights everyday while bill collectors hound her incessantly.
Vickie now has to cash out her 401k.
For the first time In her life she is on PUBLIC AID for medical. Vickie has worked her entire life and is now on public aid.
As of Sept 15th , Vickie was terminated from her job . She is devastated and heart broken. I AM devastated and heart broken for her.
My friend Vickie Sammarco was an extremely hard worker . She put 150% into all of her work and taking care of her customers . Her name is known throughout the industry. Vickie always thought about how she could make the company so much more money . She ALWAYS thought about her co-workers. Whether they were mad , sad, angry or stressed out, she surprised people with gifts and cards and little notes to brighten their day . Vickie ran fundraisers to gather money NOT only for the company but for many different groups . She was involved with the veterans and was always organizing events and charities to raise money to help our men and women who fight for us everyday .
Every month she coordinated birthday celebrations and made sure everyone was remembered. She planned and decorated the office for so many holidays , and helped work the Christmas holiday luncheon that always turned out so damn good . She ran random raffles , and gave to people when she didn’t even have the money or time to give . I can’t even remember the countless times she helped me on a stressful day. Her words and the time she took to talk and diffuse any of my situations. She always picked me up when I was down.
Vickie Sammarco is a close friend .
She is a FIGHTER. She is one of the most strongest women I know, and she has never given up, shut up or backed down. Her faith in the Lord is huge and I admire that.
