My friend is in a bind. She has Cerebral Palsy, which makes it hard for her to do a lot of physical things. Her mom has badly controlled Parkinson's (they're looking into a new doctor), which leads to super disastrous manic swings and hallucinations.
While my friend has been trying to organize a move out of their current rental home and into another, her mother--while on a manic swing and who had access to her bank account for buying groceries and incidentals--managed to drain her bank account before my friend noticed. (People who are manic often blow large suns of money.)
Now she's stuck. She's stayed a month past her move date in the rental, which means she has another month of rent to pay on top of the rent for the new place. The house is only a quarter packed because she can't do it herself and her mom is so disorganized she makes a mess rather than actually packs (as you can see from the photos).
She needs:
- Packers and all the stuff likes boxes and tape that you need to pack
- Movers to take the stuff to the new place
- Cleaners for the old house because it's in the rental contract, her mom has turned it into a disaster area, and also it's not cool to move without cleaning up after yourself
- The month of rent for the old house
- Rent for the new house
She gets paid regularly but also has other bills, so she's stretched thin enough to snap.
No, there are no credit cards open to help. Yes I've given my own money, too, and am trying to help where I could. She lives in another state and I have my own health issues that prevent me from physically helping.
She's been my best friend for half my life and I love her. Nothing like this has ever happened before she she needs help, please, please, please.
