Dear Friends,I am reaching out to you today to ask for your support for my dear friend Sanjay who has been diagnosed with ALS. ALS is a rare neurodegenerative disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that control voluntary muscle movement. Sanjay was diagnosed with ALS on July 2022 and his progression has been very fast. He has lost the function of his hands and legs and is bound to a wheelchair. He is also on a breathing machine 24-7.This devastating disease has turned his life upside down, making it difficult for him to move, speak and perform everyday tasks that we all take for granted. Sanjay is a married parent, and they are survived by two beautiful children who go to primary school. The family is facing an uphill battle as they cannot afford to hire a caregiver & his wife is taking care of Sanjay and their children full time.ALS has taken a toll on their finances. The family's income has been severely impacted due to loss of job, making it difficult to pay for essential expenses such as rent, medical expenses not covered by insurance, utilities etc .That is why I have set up this GoFundMe page.
