My name is Ginger, and I am raising funds to help my good friend Max with his bill for urgent dental work.

Let me provide more context and tell you a bit about my friend.

My friend Max came to the United States seeking asylum from Ukraine. He spends his daily life working for a nonprofit organization as a case manager for asylum seekers and refugees from countries such as Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iran, and more.

He is someone who gives much-needed help to individuals and families in need who are experiencing difficulty settling into life in the United States. Despite all the support he provides to others, he doesn't ask for much help for his own needs, which is where I come in.

Currently, Max requires extensive dental work, which stems from a genetic predisposition to poor oral health. Despite taking better care of his teeth than anyone else I've seen and following all of his dentists' instructions, most oral health issues are hereditary. The state of his teeth causes him to be in constant pain and impacts his quality of life significantly.

The procedures to care for the most damaged teeth include at least four crowns and dental restoration (post & core, core buildup with pins, etc.). Dental care in the United States can be costly, and Max does not have the option of traveling to another country for dental work due to his current immigration status.

Please help Max receive the care he needs! Every cent donated (after gofundme fees & credit card fees) will go toward Max's dental bill. If we could raise more than the current goal of $7,000 (quoted by his dentist) for the most urgent procedures, the funds will go toward fixing more of his dental issues that are less dire but still necessary. We estimate that the total cost of all his dental work will be upwards of $10,000.
