Please help my friend go home to her sick mother

Hi, my name is Meagan, and I am fundraising for a friend who is living in a very unique and challenging situation. I cannot identify her here due to the nature of the situation, but she ran away from an abusive marriage 1 year ago. Friends and I have been working together to help her with housing, food, and English education.

When she was still married, she was a prisoner in her home. During this time, her father fell sick in her home country, and her now ex-husband never permitted her to go home to see him or attend his funeral after he passed.

When she ran away from her ex-husband’s home, she did not have money, clothes, food, or anything for survival.

Now, her mother is sick, and she desperately needs to get back home to her country and her family.

I am hoping to raise money to get her a plane ticket home.
