I am raising money for my best friend Alex.

Alex’s dad has been through an incredibly tough journey. After surgery for throat cancer - tracheostomy, he recently suffered a stroke, hypoxic brain injury-and a cardiac arrest. He is now on life support in the UK.

Right now, Alex is stuck here in Australia, desperate to be with her dad but unable to afford the cost of getting home. She recently went back to the UK to be with her dad through his throat cancer surgery, once she felt he was back on his feet she returned to her home in Australia.

No one could have predicted these tragic circumstances, I am asking for any help to help her get home again. The sudden need to travel has left her heartbroken and overwhelmed. Unfortunately, she has already lost her mum and desperately needs to be with her sister and dad right now.

I am creating this page to raise $5,000 to cover her return flights and some basic living expenses while she supports her dad during this devastating time.

Every donation, no matter how small, will help bring her closer to her dad and give her the chance to be where she is most needed.
