“I cannot do all the good that the world needs. But the world needs all the good that I can do” -Jana Stanfield

Let’s all be the reason a family survive! You are making a noble change in the world.

I like many of you have felt helpless and heartbroken watching this genocide happen live on our phones. Each day brings a new horror that has left us watching in a state of utter shock, disgust, and with the profound realization of the depths of violence that exist in our world.

Being an American watching this, brings its own sense of outrage, horror and shame.
I am grateful my dear friend’s sister is allowing me to create this fundraiser to get her family out of Gaza. I have known Lienda’s sister for 10 years. She is thankfully living safely abroad, but her family is in Gaza and as we know the situation there is dire. I am organizing this on behalf of my friend’s family and all proceeds will be transferred to them to facilitate their evacuation. Please help me in raising the money to get her family out of Gaza.

Below is a note from Lienda.

"My name is Lienda, with a sense of deep sorrow weighing heavily upon me, I am reaching out, filled with hope, seeking help and support to endure and overcome the challenges my family and I are enduring throughout this harsh war happening in Gaza.

My family and I are currently trapped in Gaza, amidst the uncertainty of war. Our lives have been turned upside down, and we are struggling to see a way out. It’s really hard for us after all this time to take the decision to leave to survive. With everyday going, we fear no next day is coming.

I personally have big dreams and ambitions, hardworking interior design university student, just a year away from graduating. However, my dreams and aspirations have been put on hold as we face the harsh realities of war.

We have experienced the terror of being targeted while in our own home. The constant threat of bombings and attacks has left us feeling unsafe and vulnerable, unable to find refuge even within our own walls.

During the attacks, we were trapped inside the residential building we live in, surrounded by tanks and shells. The feeling of being cut off from the outside world, with no means of escape, was suffocating and terrifying.

We were forced to flee to tents in Rafah, where we endured deplorable conditions and severe cold weather. The lack of basic necessities like clean water, food, and shelter made each day a struggle for survival.

The unsanitary living conditions in the tents led to the spread of diseases, further exacerbating our already dire situation. We fell ill multiple times, with no access to proper medical care or treatment.

As the violence continued to escalate, we were once again forced to flee, this time to another area as bombings intensified in Rafah. The constant upheaval and uncertainty have taken a toll on our physical and mental well-being. The damage in our area is huge and still very unsafe to be there.

My father struggles with hypertension and diabetes as he no longer has access to his medication on the regular basis he used to which made managing his condition so challenging. As all patients in gaza, their health continues to deteriorate with each passing day.

My mother is so shattered. She keeps praying everyday for us to make it alive. She keeps looking to us and cry saying, “I can’t imagine anything happening to any of you. All the scenes of shattered bodies are haunting me”. My mother's suffering and despair are very visible as she also longs to be reunited with my sister, who lives abroad it has been more than 4 years since she last saw her. The cancellation of her plans to meet my sister in October has shattered her spirit, leaving her heartbroken and devastated. They planned to meet on 10th of October but all the plans vanished. My mother was over the moon as she was finally about to see my sister again and spend time with her. I can’t even put in words how hard and devastating the thought of not being able to see my eldest and only sister ever again.

‘My beloved mother. We will have better days, all together like the old days’

My younger brothers, trying to be strong in the face of these unbearable circumstances, cannot escape the fear and trauma of war knowing lots of children are being killed they are scared for their lives. My brother Munier, who has autism, struggles even more in this environment, where every day brings new horrors.

This is when we were celebrating my mother’s birthday as we threw her a surprise birthday party. She was very happy that day. Now all that we see in her eyes are tears and tears. We have faith that one day we will live in constant safety and happiness.

Despite our best efforts, the financial burden of evacuating Gaza is overwhelming. My sister abroad is doing everything she can to help, but the cost of evacuation exceeds what any individual can bear.

These are just some of the many hardships and humiliations my family has endured in Gaza. We are desperate for help and pleading with the global community to assist us in evacuating to safety. Your support and generosity will mean the world to us as we strive to rebuild our lives amidst the devastation of war.

How the donations will be used:

Unfortunately, the company that facilitates the evacuation from Gaza is requiring $5000 each so they can be registered to evacuate to Egypt through “Ya Hala” coordination company in Egypt. The cost is $5,000 for each member to permit their passage, totaling $35,000. There will be additional cost for GoFundMe's transaction fees and the fees for transferring the funds securely to Egypt. However; the top priority now is the evacuation cost of $35,000.

Thank you so much in advance for your support among this hardship. Thank you for being part of saving a family and change their lives from constant danger to lifelong safety.

PS: I have entrusted my friend Mary to oragnise this GoFundMe campaign on my behalf, she is very much appreciated for her effort and she will facilitate the secure transfer of funds.

Thank you to all for your precious support.
