We are reaching out to ask for your support for someone who spends her entire life caring for others: my wonderful friend Nimra.

As a dedicated Mental Health Nurse in the UK, Nimra pours her heart into supporting people through their hardest days. She is always the first person to offer help, step up for someone in need, and put others before herself. Now, she is the one who desperately needs our help.

While away in Egypt, Nimra fell dangerously ill and had to be rushed to the hospital after contracting three severe infections. To make a terrifying health emergency worse, a honest mix-up left her completely unprotected. When setting up her travel insurance, her cousin accidentally selected UK-only cover instead of worldwide protection.

Nimra thought she was covered, but she was hit with a devastating £3,500 hospital bill that she simply does not have the means to pay.

The situation is taking an immense toll on her mental health. She is currently overwhelmed with anxiety, terrified at the thought of having to work 7 days a week endlessly just to cover this balance. To ensure Nimra could get the medical clearance and treatment she needed, her kind aunt stepped in to place the £3,500 bill on her personal credit card.

We are setting up this GoFundMe because we want to pay her aunt back in full and lift this heavy financial burden off Nimra's shoulders while she recovers. Nimra gives so much of herself to support healthcare in our community—she shouldn't have to face physical exhaustion and severe distress over an honest mistake during a medical emergency.
