My father recently battled Ludwig’s Angina, a rare and life-threatening infection that spread through his throat and neck. He couldn’t breathe and was rushed into emergency surgery, followed by more operations, blood transfusions, and ICU care. He lost almost half his body weight, and watching him fight for every breath was the most painful moment of my life.

Even though he has been discharged, he is far from recovered. Because of the surgeries, parts of his neck and cheek had to be removed, and new muscle tissue was grafted in. His voice has changed, his face shape has changed, and he is still struggling every day to heal physically and emotionally.

Despite having insurance, they refused to cover the costs, and the hospital bills are more than I can handle alone near about $164919 AUD. I am desperately asking for help to pay for the surgeries and treatment that kept him alive.
