Title: Urgent Appeal: Help Evacuate My Family from Gaza
I am Mai Yousef, recently relocated from Gaza to Egypt. I am the daughter of Yousef Abu Watfa, a 76-year-old man. Like many in Gaza, my family has endured various forms of violence, including bombings, displacement, hunger, and the social pressures of being internally displaced from North to South Gaza Strip. Our lives were stable until the events of October 7th.
Since then, my family has faced numerous challenges due to the ongoing war and the limited capacity of shelters, with no access to medical care, food, water, or hygiene services. My family is separated, each member struggling to survive in makeshift tents, scavenging for food and water every day, and living in constant fear.
My father suffers from chronic diseases such as diabetes, heart muscle weakness, bone pain, and depression, especially since my mother was injured and evacuated to the Emirates Field Hospital in Sinai, Egypt, for medical treatment. He is staying in Rafah with my brother, in a tent that is at risk of being targeted, and my brother and his wife have a two-year-old child, and they recently welcomed a new baby into the world under dire circumstances, without any medical care.
Another brother, Ahmed, has evacuated to Der El Balah in the Middle Area with his wife and their five children with no source of income and relies entirely on humanitarian aid. They are living in a tricycle covered with a plastic sheet.
It's difficult to convey the full extent of the hardship my family is facing, and this is an appeal help my family to evacuate through Ya Hala Company in Cairo that coordinates Palestinian evacuations from Gaza. Time is of the essence, and I am doing everything in my power to save my family's lives.
The budget required for evacuation fees is as follows:
6 adults at $5,000 each (subtotal: $30,000)
5 children at $2,500 each (subtotal: $12,500)
Apartment rent in Cairo for one month is 1000$
The total needed for survival is $48,500.
Your support, whether through donations or by sharing our campaign, could make all the difference in saving civilian lives.
