Hello, I am Sarah from the Gaza Strip, specifically the city of Rafah. I am married and have two children, Dima and Salem. My husband’s name is Awad, he is 35 years old. Everyone knows what happened to us from the unjust war that has been going on for two years. Unfortunately, we lost everything we own, our home, my husband’s work, and our city, Rafah, specifically, was completely destroyed and became uninhabitable. My family and I were displaced from our city and left it on Monday, May 6, 2024, to the city of Khan Yunis. Then we were displaced again to the area that is claimed to be safe west of Khan Yunis (Al-Mawasi) in the tents. Unfortunately, our situation has worsened and there is suffering from bombing on one hand and hunger and lack of food on the other. On Sunday, August 3, 2025, my daughter Dima and I were injured after a place next to our tent was targeted. Unfortunately, some shrapnel remained in my feet and my daughter’s body. On Monday, June 14, 2025, he was also injured in his thigh while going to the American aid location to bring food for my children and my husband’s parents, whom he also supports.
How to Help
After exhausting all means of livelihood and survival, it seems that collecting donations is the only way to help my family secure safe housing and a decent living.
Requesting your help is the only way to save my family's life and future.
Your help may become our hope when all hope has vanished in these circumstances. Every dollar you can contribute could save a life, bring hope to a weary heart, and save a young person's future.
Support Needed
My family and I would be extremely grateful for your support. Please share this appeal with anyone who can help in any way.
Please don't consider this story a tragedy. I'm here to ask you to prevent it from getting worse and help us start over. I'm here to ask for your help, not your sympathy. I'm here to ask for your help, not your sympathy. I'm asking you to take action, either by donating or by sharing this with everyone you know who can help. Please read this with your heart and act as if your family, your mothers, or your siblings were suffering from these circumstances. Finally, a heartfelt thank you.
