Please help my dog Kuma recover after a coyote attack

Hi everyone,

We’re reaching out with a heavy heart after a terrifying incident involving our sweet dog, Kuma was with my family on the Sunshine Coast last night she went for her usual night time pee pee before bed, in the dark — something we’ve done countless times without worry. But this time, she was suddenly and violently attacked by a coyote.

Kuma was rushed to the local emergency vet, where she was treated for her injuries (several puncture wound & major bruising) and is incredibly lucky to be alive, but her recovery will be long and painful. So far, she has undergone a surgery and we’re were sent home after hours of being at the vet with the amazing care of the staff. We’re looking at continued care with treatment, medication, a drain and rest.

The medical bills quickly added up, and we’re doing everything we can to give Kuma the best chance at a full recovery. We know times are tough, but if you’re able to help — even a little — we would be so grateful. Every dollar goes directly to her vet bills.
