Hello, my name is Carlos and I'm the son of the strongest person I've ever known. I've watched my mother battle through being Deaf in a society in which she was made fun of, taken advantage of, told she'd always be dumb growing up, and even winning her battle with stage 4 throat cancer when the doctors gave her basically no chance to survive. She has had one of the hardest lives I've ever seen someone had to endure and yet I think I know exactly how she did it. She was lucky enough to find the love of her life and no matter how hard things got. They knew they always had each other. I've witnessed the strongest person I've ever known crumble right before my very eyes. Unfortunately my father recently passed and with that came not only massive heartache but the reality of she doesn't not only have the love of her life for emotional support but she has lost his financial support as well. We've tried so many avenues to get her help but she has been met by brickwalls at every turn. I'm a prideful person who was raised by a prideful family and asking for help is one of the hardest things for me to ever do. I'm swallowing that pride in hopes that there are those in humanity that still have hearts, can help my mother to not have to worry about how she is going to get by financially, and to help take care of bills that were left behind by my father. She dreams of moving away from her home because everywhere she looks she can't help but see him. It just absolutely breaks my heart to witness. We've tried countless avenues and this was the quickest way I could forsee getting her the help she needs in the quickest way possible. She lives on a fixed income because of her disability, barely making it by, and she is almost 70 years old. I know this money isn't going to be her cure all to her pain but she deserves to be able to mourn the man she spent 34 years with without worrying about all the other stuff that life shoves down our throats. It would really help give her life a much needed jump-start. If you could find it in your heart to help out my mother. I would be forever grateful and it would honestly help me to restore my faith in humanity. The picture you see is of my mother refusing to want to let go of him. She laid with him until they told us they had to take him. She just kept repeating "I don't wanna lose him. I'll take him home just like this. I don't know how I'm gonna live without him." All while she laid next to him holding his hand, rubbing his beard, and telling him she loved him. No one should ever have to deal with everything she is having to deal with at the exact same time. I don't wish this on anyone. Please help if you can. ❤️
