I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but here we are.

Recently, my daughter was involved in a freak car accident that left her first car with significant damage. Thankfully, she walked away physically okay — and for that, we are incredibly grateful. But the car she depended on every single day was not so lucky.

This wasn’t just any vehicle. It was her first car — the one she took so much pride in, and used daily. It represented her independence, responsibility, and all the long months we put into sanding and painting it. Seeing it damaged beyond safe repair has been heartbreaking for her. The Damage goes beyond the body, the body is not the issue, the tyre rods are bent the steering rack needed to be replaced, damaged also the suspension, rear handbrake shoe, calipers and piston pins and the bottom of the radiator. We had the rotors and brake pads relaced some time ago, thinking her brakes are all good but it turns out the ABS sensor, brake hoses and the rest of the brake system needs replacing as well, as the mechanic said, most likely her back brakes locked up causing the accident.

She loved her car so much so, she even bought personalised number plates thinking this will be her forever car.

The accident was completely unexpected and unavoidable. In a matter of seconds, everything changed. While insurance may cover a portion of the damage, it won’t come close to replacing what she lost. Right now, we are facing the reality that she urgently needs reliable transportation to continue managing her daily responsibilities.

As a parent, it’s incredibly hard to watch your child go through something like this and not be able to fix it overnight. We are doing everything we can, but replacing a car is a financial burden that we simply weren’t prepared for and cannot get a loan.
