My name is Tracy and I’m trying to raise money to help my daughter, Lorelai, pay her monthly tuition she owes for college. I am currently struggling to pay it. She currently owes now two months and now they want the full semester in full. I did try to get a loan was denied and my ex-husband was also denied. I do work full time but my check can’t keep up. She currently attends JWU in RI and is in the food innovation program, going for her Bachelor’s in Bakery and Pastry. She wants to be a wedding cake decorator. She is in the process of starting her work-study but is still waiting for her schedule and when she will start.
Lorelai has always wanted to work in the bakery and pastry field since she was a little girl. She has been baking with me since she was 2 years old. She is very creative and loves to show it in her baking. She graduated highschool with her culinary certificate. Lorelai didn’t want to go to college because she didn’t want to be in debt until she went on a field trip and toured JWU and decided that is where she needed to be. This is a girl that things never came easy for her. She struggled in her academics and has Mass Ability that follows her and has a pain everyday in her ankle. Some days are worse than others where it will swell up and she needs to get off it. It took years to get the ankle diagnosed but at 17 years old, she was finally properly diagnosed with Tarsal Coalition. She had the surgery to correct it, but it wasn’t a success. She still continues to have pain every day, but some days are worse than others, and of course, there are flare-ups. But that has not stopped her from following her dream. Someone once asked her how she can decorate a cake when her she has pain in her ankle and she said she stands like a flamingo. Help this girl follow her dream she was always bullied and now has found her place.
We would really appreciate any help you give. Please contribute and share. We are running out of time. All the money will go directly to her tuition and fix her checking account that has gone negative.
We understand money is tight for all. Thank you for reading.
