PLEASE HELP MY DAMAGED FRIEND

Hi, I am Margaret. I am fundraising for my friend, Clifford.
In April 2025,  Clifford bought a commercial van finance from Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd; a £730 million daughter company from multi-national Stellantis NV (60372958), registered in Hooddorp, The Netherlands, a £5 billion producer of car brands: Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Citroën,
Dodge, DS Automobiles, Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Maserati, Opel/Vauxhall, Peugeot and Ram Trucks.

My friend quotes: On 27-04-2025, I collected the van in good faith, but the back door lock was not fixed, while the doors, if slammed shut together, will close.
The nearside rear light was partly broken, the off-side mirror was missing a plastic cover, and the wiper blades were worn.

During the finance, Carmoney finance, the broker, suggested warranty on the van, but my friend has never had an issue with a used van, so he did not opt-in.

(DPF filter).  While the tradesman struggled to find a garage to fix the problem, the entire rear brake assembly succumbed. He states: "Suddenly I could hear metal grinding metal when I stepped on the breaks".  Brake discs, pads and wheel bearings all had to be replaced.

Note: a properly maintained DPF Filter (cleaned simply by a standard garage every 2 to 3 years) will need to be deep-cleaned cleaned between 100k and 150k miles.
This van had a blocked filter in March 2023, and in August 2023 it passed the MOT, while in 2024 the van had no MOT, then in April 2025, the van was purchased by my friend  - with a blocked DPF filter that took about 40 minutes to clean at £280,00.

To keep a long story short, this van had a range of ills and, contrary to what the garage told the buyer, that the air-conditioning was working and was cooling well, the van had no airco fitted.

Now it was clear that  Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd, the Financier, was in violation of the Consumer Protection Act 2015.  This act requires a financier to confirm a vehicle is in good working order before they finance it.  So the buyer reported the issue to Stellantis, but for 14 weeks Stellantis did not respond; not even an acknowledgement of receipt.  And when they did respond they commented that the buyer had to apply for warranty.
But would a warranty firm not direct the claimant to the financier?

So my friend has started litigated and is still awaiting a court date.  Meantime, Stellantis Financial Services UK Ltd confirmed in February that they do not uphold his complaint.

Strangely, after the issue was reported to Stellantis, whenever the buyer took the van to a garage, the van was returned in a worst condition, and/or fees were artificially high. One garage is due in court and a case is being prepared for a second one.

This unfortunate affair has cost my friend thousands of pounds in lost work and repair costs on the malfunctioning van. And, after 12 months of misery, the burden , has become insurmountable for this man without external help.
His estimated loss totals an average of £15000,00 over the past tax year.

The funds I try to raise will allow him to get another, normally functioning van, with him contributing £1000 pounds to the purchase.

Please help if you can, and I dearly thank you all.
