Please help my dad who lost everything in a fire
Donation protected

It's easy until you or your family members are the ones who lost everything and people are saying those words to you.
Sure, you can get new clothes, new shoes, get the dog a new bed. But "that other stuff" is more than that.
It's the bracelet made from a sterling silver spoon during WWII that your grandfather gave to your dad.
It's your grandmother's wedding ring.
That dining room was where we had countless Thanksgiving dinners, carved pumpkins and sang happy birthday to one another.
That living room was where we bonded while getting cozy by the fireplace watching our favorite TV shows.
That attic is where we sat for hours upon hours looking through old photo albums and reminiscing about the past.
That kitchen is where my dad made an over abundance of the most delicious food resulting in everyone being sent home with leftovers.
And that garage, that garage where the fire started, that was where we had endless laughs and sometimes, endless drinks.
Many of you know my dad, Mitch. He's the most caring and selfless person. He was born and raised here in Warwick. He was a volunteer firefighter. Him and my uncle still make the best clam chowder for the firehouse clam bake.
Right now, he has nothing but his dog and the clothes he was wearing when the fire consumed his home.
When I say he lost everything, I mean everything. His home, car, motorcycle, tools, sentimental belongings from our grandparents and from us, his kids.
To be honest, he has too much pride and will probably reprimand me for staring this page. But here I am, asking you to please contribute what you can to get him back on his feet.
My family thanks you with our whole heart!
