Hi, my name is Clara. I’m a 24-year-old living in Canada, and I’m fundraising for my dad—an incredible man who did everything he could to raise me right, even when he didn’t have much himself.
My dad is a senior, nearly in his 70s, trying to make a living as a construction worker in Brazil. He earns just enough to cover basic necessities.
He recently told me he needs urgent dental treatment that costs around R$14,000 (approximately CAD $3,000). Most of his teeth are falling out at an alarming rate, and he requires what's known as a "dental protocol" (pardon the translation—it's a full-mouth restoration with implants).
As his daughter, it breaks my heart that I can’t come up with the full amount quickly enough to help him. The treatment takes almost four months from start to finish, and the longer he waits, the harder it gets.
My father has always been a go-getter and never wanted to be a financial burden. This is the first time I've ever seen him ask for help—and that says a lot.
Because of the difference in currency between the Brazilian real and Canadian dollar, even small donations go a long way.
Thank you for reading this far, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you for any contribution to support my dad’s health and dignity.
