Help My Dad Recover After His Stroke

On Thanksgiving, my dad suffered a sudden and serious stroke that completely changed our lives. He is currently in the hospital receiving treatment, and while we’re grateful he is still with us, he has a long road ahead emotionally, physically, and financially.

This stroke has left him unable to work, and the medical bills are already beginning to pile up. On top of that, his rent is overdue, and without help, he is at risk of being evicted before he is even able to come home from the hospital. When he is discharged, he will also need important medications and follow-up care to support his recovery, which we are struggling to afford on our own. My dad has always been my number one supporter, so I am trying so hard to be his.

I’m creating this GoFundMe to help cover:

• Hospital bills and emergency medical costs

• His rent and utilities so he doesn’t lose his home

• Prescriptions and rehabilitation needs once he’s released

• Transportation and basic necessities during recovery

My dad is a good man who has always helped others, and now he’s the one who needs support. Anything you can give, even a share, makes a real difference and brings us one step closer to stability during this overwhelming time.
