Update 3/23/2026

He has been home from completed his cell transplant! In order to ensure the treatments all worked properly he is in need of a PET SCAN and MRIs. His insurance doesn't cover all the costs of the scans and both scans especially the pet scans is extremely expensive. Since its a all over scan.He has co-pays that he desperately needs help with. Update he has had his dental work done and has is currently doing chemo. He's completed his radiation courses. He will still need more pet scans to make sure the cancer is getting better throughout his entire body. It comes with a hefty price. He also needs a lung test and another biopsy. Please continue to share! Thank you all that's helped prayed and shared! His blood count levels are looking way better then what they were, so we're are hopeful he's responding well, but will not know until he gets all those test and scans. Which aren't cheap!

Hello, my name is Kyla Durbin. My sister Kristin Fellanto and I are raising money on my dad's behalf. At the beginning of June, he went to the hospital (which he's never been one to go) he had been very sick, and his chest was hurting. He assumed maybe he had covid or pnumonia. The doctors ran tests, took an x-ray, elc; and they found 2 abnormalities 1 on his rib 1 on his pelvis.. They ran biopsies and blood, and it came back as blood CANCER. Multiple myeloma, to be exact. My dad has since been to multiple scans and multiple doctors. His insurance only covers a partial amount of treatment, which we are working on getting the grants through the cancer treatment place. Our only issue is that my dad's insurance can only do so much. We aren't exactly sure what all these hospital bills will cost coming in soon. What we do know is that all co pays and scans are out of pocket. We have yet to start treatment yet read further to see why. MY dad is actually considering not going through with treatment due to costs. He will need both radiation and chemo. He was told that before they even can do the whole treatment process, I believe it was the radiation or vise versa. He has to get his teeth fixed. He will already be hurting on money. The reasoning for the dental work is that his teeth are very bad cavity filled. He needs then all pulled. (He doesn't ever go to the Dr's or dentist) The doctor advised him to minimize the risk of complications like osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ) and other oral health problems. Radiation couldn't happen until they were fixed. My dad is a dad, a grandparent, a brother, and a son that we all love very dearly. Cancer runs in our family on both sides, and it's always taken my loved ones..... I can't let it take another one... I really just pray/ask if you have anything to spare. Please do or even a share to reach more people will be a blessing. We ultimately have no goal between the cancer treatments alone he could be paying over 20 grand out of pocket, and then the dental is even more to that total.....

He unfortunately has too stay working during this time too even keep his insurance active...
