Please help my cousin, Nicole Jones and family.

It is with humility and sadness that I am sharing Nicoles and Ryans story with friends and family and asking for financial help as well as prayers.

Most of you may know my cousin, Nicole Jones, formerly Nicole Colson. Most people have always thought us to be sisters and we are in fact more sisters than cousins. We were born only a week apart and are so much alike, its almost like we are twins. Nicole is 39 years old , and three years ago this month she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Through a very treacherous time she had undergone intense chemo and up until last Friday ,as far as we knew she was cancer free.

We were made aware the cancer has comeback. This time in several lymph nodes all throughout her lower abdomen and also she has a very large mass on her kidney. The news has made time stand still. We are heart broken. Nicole and Ryan have 2 daughters and one son. They are a young family. This news is devastating.

Some of you may know Nicole as the girl that answers all my calls, as she is my assistant. Helping me daily to stay sane and make things flow as seamlessly as possible. Some will recognize her face as their favorite past waitress at Betts Big T many years ago. Some will know her from Chiefland High School as the most loyal, kind, selfless friend they had ever met. Some will know her from church, as she is a born and raised Jesus follower and she has been in the ministry her whole life.

I come to you all pleading for help. The only income the family has is Nicole currently. As if her circumstances are not tragic enough her husband, Ryan Jones got into a car accident months ago and is suffering from a brain concussion that is so severe he is unable to drive, be around lots of light, noise and motion. He is unable to perform any physical or emotionally task without being almost bed ridden for days to recover.

Ryan has worked hard labor everyday of his life since he was able to work. He has always been the primary income for their family as well as health coverage. His income was recently stopped at a screeching halt. The same week she found out her cancer has returned. They are at risk of losing medical insurance as well.

This is a nightmare of a story to share for anyone and especially at Christmas. The only vehicle they own is on its last leg and in need or repairs , Ryan has neurology appointments , Nicole now has appointments with the Cancer Center as they prepare to biopsy her lymph nodes and do full body scans to come up with a plan of action, and I pray with every ounce of my being , treatment. Nicoles faith stands strong and as she puts it “Gods Glory with be revealed”. I am trying my best to understand and pray for understanding during this time.

I know money is tight for us all, the holidays are so hard. But I am asking that if you feel led to help, even if $5 please help me help this family survive financially during the most hardest times they both with face , together , sick.

I did get permission to share this information and Nicole is struggling so bad to ask for help but we need all the help we can get and MOST IMPORTANT PRAYERS. We need you to please add this family to your prayers. God can take this cancer away , he can heal Ryans brain. It is going to take a miracle.
