Please Help my Cat Yogi Bear get Urgent Surgery

Donation protected
Update!!:
Yogi was able to have his surgery yesterday (2/18), but I still am asking for the completed money of the donation fund so I can pay my mother back who is on very low income (very limited), who ended up offering to pay the remaining balance minus the $400 that was raised here, plus the $100 in cash my brother Brett gave me (in person). Hence, I still owe her $684. Therefore I'm keeping this open even though he did have his surgery, and everything went well.

He does have a very big incision, longer than I thought it would be. I'm attaching a photo of it, if you are skwirmish I advise not looking below. Please pray that my baby heals quickly and that he is not in any pain. He seems calmer today, as yesterday when I got him home he was very upset because he had gone through so much, and I'm sure it is not pleasant. I know I was extremely stressed so I can't imagine that he was going through. God bless and I thank you all for your support.

P.s. I did not change the initial goal amount because if I change it to $684 (the remaining owed), it will base it off of what has been donated so far and I will not be able to get to my goal... Hopefully that makes sense :-)

Good day to you all, my name is Amanda Hale. On January 29th of this year, I took my baby-boy cat, Yogi Bear to the veterinarian for a check-up – he has concerning lumps (3) under his skin that recently started as one lump on the upper portion of his thigh. When I initially took him to a different vet last year, that one told me it wasn’t concerning unless it expanded or multiplied; well, it did.

Subsequently, when I took him to be examined on 1/29, this new vet with whom I have much respect stated that the lumps appeared to be tumors and could very well be cancerous (we will know if and when they are removed and biopsied). These bumps are known to be caused by his baby vaccinations that were out of my control before I purchased him from his breeder, as I do not believe in any shots for animals or humans, but I digress. It is apparently due to an inflammatory reaction at the injection site and can happen within 6 months or even 6 years post-vaccination. Yogi’s new vet says that the only way to ensure my baby’s health and well-being is to remove them and advises against testing them first (to prevent surgery) because it can spread the tumors and make them worse. He said this is something that cannot wait and should be done right away.

Therefore, I am creating this ‘cry for financial help’ for my baby boy, because I do not have the monetary means to pay for his surgery. I am not one to ask for help, especially for myself; but, for my little boy, I am not too humble for such a situation. I am asking for any amount towards the complete cost of the surgery and follow-up appointment to remove the stitches. The cost of the surgery with post-operative stitch removal will be $1,293. I do not have any form of social media so I am asking that even if you cannot help me, which I understand given the last four years of emotional and monetary drainage, you please share with friends and family and on your social media websites if applicable.

Thank you so much for your time, and I want everyone to know that any amount towards Yogi’s surgery will be much appreciated as I continue to press on in my job search. I have been relentlessly trying to get one since I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree (Business) December 2020 with no success. I am hopeful that since the new Executive leadership has ended DEI programs in both the public and private sector job market, I can finally get hired for a position soon. I have experienced discrimination the likes of which I have never gone through since I started working at the age of 15. I am now 41 as of January 6, and I am somewhat embarrassed that I have to ask for money (graciously of course) from my brothers and sisters in Christ, because of the situation that I am and have been unfortunately in. I leave you humbly on that note, and I thank you again for your time. I just pray I can get Yogi the surgery he needs by early next month at the latest, as this is a dire matter. God bless.

Sincerely,
Amanda Hale
