Hi everyone,

This is really hard for me to write, but my sweet boy Owen needs help. He’s my 8-year-old West Highland Terrier and honestly my whole world. He’s been my emotional support through everything, the one constant that’s kept me going when life has felt too heavy.

Today something terrifying happened. While the house was being cleaned, Owen managed to get into some rat bait. I rushed him to the emergency vet and they had to induce vomiting and give him charcoal. He’s thrown it up, but he needs to stay monitored for the next few hours, and I have to take him back for blood tests and heart checks to make sure the poison hasn’t caused any internal damage.

I feel incredibly guilty even asking for help, but I’m completely drained financially. I’ve used what little I had on his emergency visit, and I honestly don’t know what else to do. I’m struggling just to feed myself right now, and the thought of not being able to get him the care he needs is breaking me.

If anyone is able to help, even a few dollars or just sharing this, it would mean the absolute world to me. I love him more than anything, and I just want him safe and healthy.
