Please Help My Best Friend Gimli

Hello, friends.

It has been a very painful couple of days. My heart is heavy.

I have never asked for any money from friends, family, colleagues or people on the Internet
before, but today I really need your help. I am humbly and desperately asking for donations to fund veterinarian bills for my cat, Gimli. It’s looking like it will be in the region of $4000.

I adopted him from the shelter two years ago at a time where I was very broken in life. He was also broken, anxious, and generally fearful because of previous conditions he had been kept in. He saved me from the absolute depths of depression then, and brings me so much joy every day. In turn, I ensure he has a loving, comfortable, stress-free home life here with me in Long Beach.

He has been diagnosed with an enlarged heart and diabetes. Things are also complicated further by the finding of an unknown mass in his abdomen which needs further investigation with ultrasound. I would move Heaven and Earth to be able to afford this treatment on my own, but on a teacher’s salary and with Covid, times are tight for me. I cannot adequately provide financially for him.

At this point, out of some desperation, I turn to the Internet for help. Please help, if you can spare anything at all. I appreciate it so very much.
