Hi everyone and I guess it’s my turn for help. My beloved cat Taz is at the pet emergency hospital just now with urinary blockage- crystals in his uretha. He’s been in bad shape all weekend and back and forth between home and the hospital. He was close to death Saturday evening and a decision had to be made- cleaning out his uretha or euthanasia which was awful as I live on disability and don’t have 2 nickels to rub together. I couldn’t do it… he’s only 5 and just getting started in life. I chose to give him a chance and now I’m $3,500k deep with the pet hospital. It’s financially devastating! Normally I would use a fantastic non profit in Richmond but they were closed and the timing was off. So here I am, unable to pay and asking for any help. I was homeless here in Marin as a native Marinite with alcohol use disorder and as soon as I got clean ( and have been for 6 years) and stabalized I adopted Taz. He’s my family, a funny little dude, beautiful and my life saver in many ways. I’d be grateful for any help, it’s hard to ask, and thank you for reading.

Update 9/20 

Taz is back home as the hospital was not financially viable anymore, or ever really. He has yet to have a full pee… maybe just a teeny bit here and there. It’s hard to say as he’s in and out of the litter boxes so fast. So things aren’t good but I wanted to thank everyone for all the donations, kind words and advice. I think he’s a tough little guy so I’m trying to stay positive. Thank you again! ❤️
