Hi, my name is Amber, and this is my boy, Tiger.
Tiger has been with me since I was 17 years old — he was just a puppy then, and now at 13 years old, he is still my baby. He has been my first dog, my teacher of responsibility, my lesson in unconditional love, and my truest friend. Through every hardship, every health struggle of my own, and every chapter of my life, Tiger has been by my side.
Recently, Tiger was diagnosed with oral malignant melanoma, a very aggressive form of cancer. We are grateful to have learned that the cancer has not spread to his chest or lungs, which gives us hope. His doctors believe that with radiation therapy and a specialized vaccine, we can help slow down the disease and give him more time to enjoy the things he loves most — car rides, pup cups, toys, cuddles, and simply being with his family.
Without treatment, our time together may be cut down to just a few short months. With treatment, there’s a real chance for a year or more of good, happy, quality life. For a dog like Tiger, who still greets each day with so much spirit, that time means everything.
He has always been full of life, but the growths in his mouth have started to frustrate him — making it harder to eat and play the way he wants. The treatments can remove and slow down these growths so he can get back to enjoying the simple joys he has always loved.
I promised Tiger that I would never give up on him as long as he shows me he is not ready to give up. And he hasn’t — his tail still wags, his eyes still light up, and his heart still overflows with love. I want to keep that spark alive for as long as possible.
Every donation will go directly toward his radiation treatments, vaccine, medications, and vet bills. I’ll be sharing updates along the way so you can see just how much of a difference your generosity makes in his fight.
Tiger has given me 13 years of unwavering love and loyalty. Now I’m doing everything I can to give him the chance to keep living the life he deserves.
If you can donate, please know it means the world to us. And if you can’t, sharing Tiger’s story is just as powerful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me fight for my boy.
With love and gratitude,
Amber & Tiger
