Hi, my name is Laurissa, and I'm reaching out with a heart full of hope and desperation for my baby, Christmas. Christmas isn't just a pet — she's my BABY, my best friend, and my saving grace.

Now, Christmas desperately needs your help. I've attached the x-ray of Christmas. There you can see much fluid is in her belly, lungs and around her heart. It HAS to be drained a.s.a.p.

Christmas has been struggling to breathe due to severe fluid buildup in her abdomen, chest, and around her heart. She desperately needs two procedures:

Abdominocentesis (to drain fluid from her abdomen)

Thoracocentesis (to drain fluid from her chest cavity)

The cost for these lifesaving procedures starts at $1200 and can go even higher. Right now, just draining the fluid would mean the world to us — it would help her breathe easier and give her a fighting chance to recover and enjoy the rest of her little life.

Despite having a preventive care plan through Banfield, Christmas was misdiagnosed for months. I pushed for an X-ray early on, but it was denied. When it was finally done, it showed what I had feared: extensive fluid buildup causing her heart to enlarge and making it painful and difficult for her to breathe.

It's just Christmas and me. She's all I've got, and I'm all she's got. The thought of losing my baby is something I just cannot conceive and because I can't afford this procedure is devastating. I'm asking — begging — for your support.
