Anyone who knows me knows I usually handle things on my own. I don’t share much of my personal life publicly, and I’ve never been one to ask for help. But this situation has overtaken my life, and for the sake of my cats, I’m reaching out.
Shortly after adopting a new kitten, he began showing worrying symptoms. X-rays revealed an orthopedic issue that requires further evaluation from a specialist, with the possibility of surgery ahead.
At the same time, testing revealed he was carrying parasites. Despite assurances that he had been vetted, those parasites spread through my household, and now all 4 of my cats have been placed in medical isolation for treatment at the vet.
This has been especially heartbreaking for my 2 senior cats, who have never spent a night away from home and are now confined to small cages while they undergo treatment.
The financial burden is overwhelming. I’ve already put in over $2,500 of my own money toward vet bills and home sanitation, but the costs continue to climb. Between isolation, treatment, and what’s still ahead with the orthopedic evaluation, expenses are now in the thousands — and I simply can’t keep up alone.
The rescue group has provided some help (covering his initial X-rays), but the ongoing costs have fallen largely on me.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward veterinary care and recovery. If there are funds beyond what my cats need, I will ensure they go to help other animals in urgent medical need.
These 4 cats are my family. They are my everything. With your help, they can come home safe, heal, and return to the simple joys they deserve — comfort, play, and peace.
