Please Help my 3 Year old dog, Kokoa

I am raising funds for my dog, Kokoa Koda.

I adopted Kokoa in November 12,2022. During the short period of time between November of 2022 and March of 2023, Kokoa and I formed a strong bond; she would refuse to let anyone come near me who was not immediate family. She has been a life-changing experience for me; she has helped me through many difficult times that I know I would not have been able to endure without her. Unfortunately, about 6 weeks ago, we discovered a lump on her belly by her back right thigh. For a few days we watched it, assuming it was from an accident and would heal on its own; however, it worsened over the course of 2 weeks, to the point where you could see how large the small lump had grown. It was as big as a baseball. It became so painful for her that she refused to have anyone touch her. We called the vet and got her in right away. The bet found that the lump was filled with puss and blood, so a drain tube was inserted and she was sent home with antibiotics and pain meds. 3 days later the drain tube was removed and she was to rest and much as she could and stay away from the other dogs, so they couldn't lick her or tare her open any further as she still had open spots from where the drainage tube was. We took her for a follow up 2 weeks ago, the lump was still there, still leaking puss but had gone down in size compared to the original size. Kokoa was sent home with another round of antibiotics and more pain meds, to keep her as comfortable as possible while she healed.

Today, September 18th, we went to the vet for another follow-up because it was still there, the size of a golf ball, and draining puss. We were informed that it was most likely an abscess or necrotic tissue, which would mean surgery to clean and remove any dead tissue that was causing this infection. My goal is $1,320.00 so that I can pay for my best friend's surgery to remove the abscess and dead tissue so she can go back to being a dog again.
