Please Help Monica McBride Beat Breast Cancer

On September 5th, my sister Monica received a heartbreaking diagnosis of Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Determined to remain positive, a treatment plan was established. Monica has endured five rounds of chemo (with one more to go) and she has a double mastectomy scheduled for February followed by future reconstructive surgery. The effects of chemo have been physically hard on Monica, and emotionally trying for all too, as it's hard to witness a loved one go through this. The prayers, love, and support of family, friends, and her dear coworkers at the elementary school where she works, have been such a blessing. She is thankful for the ability to use her sick bank hours when needed, and is determined to work when the side effects aren't as intense because the kids are inspiring. While insurance covers what they can, additional expenses with iv infusions of fluids and vitamins along with additional testing, scans, and other consultations have added up to $6,000+ in out-of-pocket expenses. The money raised here will be used to help with these bills and to have additional reserves for any out-of-pocket upcoming surgery expenses.
