Please help Mom fight stage 4 colon cancer

It is with a heavy heart I share that Mom has been diagnosed with colon cancer that has metastasized to her lungs. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy to shrink the mass on her colon and the nodules in her lungs. In about two months they will be doing additional scans to determine how well the chemotherapy is working. The doctors believe additional treatment is necessary to give her the best chance at remission. This is the second time she has had colon cancer so they want to be aggressive with their approach. These additional treatments are not covered by health insurance and will be quite expensive. They include infusions, injections and supplements all specifically designed to increase her immune system, decrease inflammation and attack the cancer cells.  We are setting an initial goal of $52,000 to cover the cost of these treatments. The prognosis is not the best but we are hopeful with the addition of these other treatments she will be able to put this in remission. 

She has so many things to look forward to. As many of you know, one of her greatest joys in life is sharing the love of racing with her family. She loves being at Grandview Speedway every Saturday night cheering on multiple members of her family. This year she will have an additional member. Jesse will be stepping up to run a few races in the sportsman division. In addition Kayla will be starting her racing career in a ¼ midget. Racing has always been something that brought us all together as a family. The racing bond is special and it extends to everyone in the community. I am calling on my extended racing family to help get the word out that Mom could really use some help right now. Treatments have already begun and we appreciate anything you’re willing to do to give her the best shot possible of a long and healthy life.
