Please help Moamen and family survive the genocide

My name is Iria from Edinburgh and I have set this campaign to help my friend Moamen to survive the genocide. The money raised will be used for food, water and medical supplies. Here are his words:

My name is Moamen, a 21-year-old Palestinian young man from Gaza. I was pursuing my dream of becoming a lawyer and was studying law in Algeria. I completed my first academic year, full of hope and ambition. During the summer vacation, I returned to Gaza to visit my family and friends, longing for the warmth of my homeland.

But then, war broke out, and everything changed.

I’ve been trapped in Gaza for two years now, unable to leave and unable to continue my education. The dream I held so dearly to become a lawyer who defends the oppressed and raises the voice of justice has been shattered.

To me, law is sacred. It is the foundation of dignity and peace. I wanted to build peace through justice, not witness peace be destroyed before my eyes.

But now, after experiencing war, forced displacement, and indescribable suffering, my future is falling apart. Israeli airstrikes destroyed our home. We lost everything our shelter, our livelihood, and our safety. With the borders closed, we have endured extreme hunger, with no food, no clean water, and no medicine.

My family is in desperate need of food, clean water, and medical supplies. My aunt is suffering from a malignant disease (brain cancer). She underwent brain surgery, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. As a result, she lost the ability to move her right hand and leg. She urgently needs physical therapy to stimulate blood circulation and nerve function.

The border crossings have been closed for over 80 days. There is no food or water here. We are suffering from dehydration and severe hunger.

I am exhausted. My heart is heavy. My soul is tired.

And yet, I still cling to hope.

I am a young man with ambition and talent, just like any other person my age. All I want is a chance to live, to learn, and to give back. If you can help me or know someone who can whether through financial support, sharing my story, or even just listening, I will be eternally grateful.
