Michelle and Duke Flores need our help!

Michelle Guzman is a friend to the community of San Luis Obispo and the entire central coast. She has been a hero through this pandemic, risking her safety, working 60 hours a week running the COVID-19 testing site in San Luis Obispo. Now she and her family need our help.

Michelle was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. She has brain cancer and is starting her treatment process today (August 5, 2021). She will be getting frequent injections over the next several months as part of a clinical trial, along with major brain surgery in the next couple weeks. Michelle will need to travel to UCSF for each round of injections.

Raising money through GoFundMe and asking for financial support is not something I take lightly. I thank you so much for helping this family, who I love so much. The money you donate will help pay for Michelle’s travel and medical expenses during her treatment. It will help relieve the financial stress on her wonderful husband Duke and her four amazing children as Michelle shifts focus from her relentless service to the community to her battle with cancer.
