Hi, my name is Jenny and I'm a longtime friend of both Kim and Michael. Kim has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for 25 years now and has been on permanent disability for quite some time due to her condition and the limitation it has caused her. Unfortunately this past November, Michael had an accident at home where he fell down 13 steps to their basement leaving him with traumatic injuries and lasting side effects. He spent a few weeks in the ICU recovering from his injuries but has had some concerning medical issues that have continued. He was recently in the hospital again due to stroke like symptoms for which current imaging has revealed a return of cancer in some capacity, he is still undergoing more testing to determine exactly where the cancer is coming from. Michael had brain cancer when he was younger and has had some unfortunate lasting side effects from that treatment that still affects his quality of life today. Michael is presently on temporary disability which will run out on May 16th 2024 and he is expected to return to work only he is not medically cleared nor is he capable. He has recently applied for permanent disability but that can take anywhere from 3 to 6 months. Michael & Kim are sweet, gentle, and have kind hearts and would do anything for anyone. They're monthly housing expenses, medical, and food is adding up to where they can no longer keep up. Any help is greatly appreciated for Kim and Michael as they continue to both seek medical care.
