Hello,

My name is Dwight and this is my 13 year old chihuahua Mia. Mia has been my best friend since childhood and I love her so much.

Recently, she was attacked (Nov. 2, 2021) by a much larger dog. She was left with sever bite wounds and her eye was gouged out. The larger dog was chased away but Mia was left bleeding heavily. I took her inside where I tried cleaning as much of the blood as possible without causing her too much pain. Because Veterinarian visits are extremely costly, I had second thoughts of taking her. It’s sad but without the funds to pay for her surgery, I hesitated to take her.

She wasn’t crying or whimpering surprisingly which made me wait a day before I finally decided to take her to the vet. After cleaning her up, I placed her in her doghouse to rest but when I came back to check on her she had a ton of flies around her eye and they laid a ton of eggs on her. I quickly brought her inside and cleaned as much of the eggs off as possible and rushed her to the vet (Nov. 3, 2021).

I don’t want to lose her and I should have brought her to the vet immediately after the attack. But again, the financial burden kept me from doing that. So, if you could please help by donating towards her surgery I would greatly appreciate the assistance! It would definitely mean the world to me.
