I have a beautiful 10 year old Aussie. She is my baby. She recently tore her left hind ACL. A week later she has torn her right ACL. I have spent my entire rent money (broke nursing student) at our vet Anacortes Animal Hospital. Dr Anderson has been great but he doesn’t do ACL surgeries and she needs double. She has a lot of life left in her and is a beautiful dog who I love deeply. I am trying to fundraise to help cover the recent and future vet bills. Right now she can’t use her hind legs so I would like to build a ramp for her and I to safely get into our trailer. I think we could use a doggy wheelchair and also one of those doggy hinnie lifter up bags. There are vets that can do the surgery but we need to establish care which costs around $200 plus imaging $500-1,500 and then an appointment with the surgeon $200. The surgery can range $3,000-$7,000 per leg. I would like to do the consultation and imaging and do what I can to make her safe and comfortable even if we can’t do the surgery. Please help me take good care of her. I am a dedicated animal lover and willing to change our lives to take care of her new disability. Please anything helps. I know not everyone has the ability to help but if you can I would be deeply grateful.
