Hello dear friends,

I’m seeking assistance with the huge cost of dental implants.

I’m so embarassed to have ask for help, but it is what it is.

Those of you who know me, are aware that when my partner Kinan was ill with a very rare form of NET cancer, the only treatment was experimental, expensive and it cost us everything we had materially…and then some.

Just before he got ill, I was planning on some major dental work to my ailing teeth, which have been impacted by 40 years of living with HIV, a car accident, and subsequently the emergency intubation (in the hospital in Ibiza when I was comatose from Legionaiires Pneumonia) that broke 3 teeth and dislodged 2 others.

Since Kinan’s death, my health and mental state has really suffered, but returning home to Perth was the best thing for me, although it’s been a real struggle rebuilding my life here after such loss and total bankruptcy, aged in my mid 50’s.

My teeth are now in a state that the Dental Specialists coin as “terminal”.

I need them all removed, and to save my greater health will require a full set of implants, both upper and lower while I still have enough bone density to allow for surgical success.

The cost of all this (not including anaesthesia) will be over AUD$49,000. ( See photo of bill attached )

I’m hoping to raise at least $20,000 so I can qualify for an affordable payment plan to cover the remaining cost.

The more I can raise, the better chance I have of being able to afford repayments on the balance. **Yes I've thought about travelling overseas, but it will take several surgeries, and a minimum 6-9 months of healing of the implants before I'm even ready to get the permanent teeth - doing this overseas is NOT an option for me**

I just want to be free from the constant pain in my teeth, to smile once more without shame and embarrassment, and to be able to eat fresh crisp fruit and veg again.
