Go Fund Me Update 11 hour operation total hysterectomy and removal of omeentum and abdominal surgery on Wednesday and released on Sunday . Surgeon Dr wanted me home to heal, long story. Today I am in bad pain and going in a few minutes to see my primary just to make sure not infected…approx 50 or more staples come out on Monday. I guess now the thoughts of having had cancer and not knowing it and going through months of chemo 8 hr sessions ,iron, blood, and more has caused much depression now… Thank God for family members and dear friends and kind people who help with donations on this journey. much more ahead of me yet , I am so thankful I am alive…Be thankful this Thanksgiving for all you have, love you all

I am Linda Bates 73 years old, and my family and I are life long residents of Cornwall, NY. I never thought I would need to ask for help but since my cancer diagnosis in July, the past few months have been extremely difficult emotionally, physically and now financially . I was diagnosed with abdominal and ovarian cancer and have completed difficult

8 hour rounds of chemo,iron infusions , blood tests. I had surgery to confirm cancer and I am scheduled for surgery Nov 19 , for a long 6-8 hour surgery in the Bronx , surgeon will be doing advanced chemo treatment after surgery called hyperpitermia high tech hot chemo and my Dr has advised I will probably need additional chemo treatments as well following the surgery. He has been very reassuring that I will make a full recovery but it's been a long journey and the MOST DIFFICULT journey of my life. My husband jimmy and I have been married for 55 years our sons have been very supportive caring and helping me as much as possible. I try to focus on having a complete recovery but now the financial burden has become Very hard on us, our health insurance has been good thank God but there are high copays ,for MRI , 4 cat scans . chemo doctor, iron infusions, blood work trips back and forth to the Bronx and Dr and the many prescriptions with out of pocket costs depleted our small savings and it's weighing heavy on my mind .I need help with living expenses , personal care items, gas ,back and forth to Bronx, tolls, hospital parking for 10 days or more in hospital.
