Sadly things have changed for the worse with Jackie. The topic of conversation has changed now to quality of life. She has virtually no chance of surviving and if somehow she did manage to beat the ever impossible odds she would be dependant on machines for the rest of her life. We as a family have decided to make the hardest decision possible and take her off the ventilator to say final goodbyes. Both Jackie's mom and brother are out of work and can't afford to give her the proper funeral she deserves so we are asking for any donation you can spare.

Initially this gofund me was created for Jackie's funeral expenses because we thought we were going to be making the hardest decision of our lives and taking her off the ventilator and saying our goodbyes. At the last possible minute, however, we saw signs of improvement. We believe she is willing to fight so we are going to fight with her!
This is going to be an extremely long and arduous recovery process and your support both emotionally and financially is extremely helpful. Please continue to give her and her family words of encouragement and be a part of the healing she so desperately needs.
Her situation is still critical and things could turn for the worse in a matter of minutes, but we are choosing hope and optimism to get over this threshold obstacle. In the event things do change for the worse the money you've donated will go towards funerary expenses.
Financially, she has no health insurance or money to her name. We are in the process of applying for assistance which includes disability and medicaid but there is no guarantee.
