Hi there. My name is GANDALF (yes like the one from lord of the ring) and I am 7 years old Golden Retriever to most humans but for Patricia I am her son. I also have a wonderful humans who are my aunties and uncles. I am known in neighbour and humans always smile when they see me. I am also support for my mummy as she is not well :(
Currently I am not well to :( I have chylothorax. I don't know what's that but my humans are werry sad when they say this word. So far I had scans, blood tests and fluid taken out in Holmer Veterinary but they couldn't help me more so they refer me to Langford small animals hospital in Bristol. I then had another blood tests, CT scan of the chest and abdomen, heart scan, fluid analysis and they drained 4.5 liters of fluid from my chest. They had to do in on general anesthetic. Unfortunately this condition is bad and this fluid will come back. But this nice mister doctor vet said that they can do surgery on open chest and they will take this bad sack out and then I'll be fine and I can look after my mummy. Surgery is booked for Monday the 8th of March at 10:30am.
My mummy is awaiting for surgery herself (SOD) but he also have lots other health problems. The worst is when she is sad and she laid down and cry. I think you humans call that depression. But when I am close and when I share my toys with her or put my head on her chest she start smile. That's make me happy and we can play. My mommy don't have lots of this plastics or this round metals you humans call money so I thought I will ask you to help her for my treatment. Unfortunately that is around £7000 in Langford plus money in Holmer which is around £1000 include aftercare. She arleady raised over £2000 from my aunties, uncles and my daddy. She said she will try to sell some items from our house but no luck yet...
So please, I am barking to you for help my mommy to pay bill for saving my life.
