Hi, my name is Brandy Darling and I am a senior at Connecticut College. As I approach graduation in May, I have realized that I have accomplished much throughout my undergraduate years thanks to the support of the College. Academically, I have made the Dean's High Honors list multiple times. I have traveled to China three times for intensive language learning as well as an internship where I published a paper with the African Chamber of Commerce. Socially, I have participated in many organizations such as Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and Student Activities Council Co-Chair, and have even started a Gospel Choir that has seen amazing growth throughout the school year. In my free time, I teach Chinese to an elementary school student and help to make my campus a better place for students who look like me. Most importantly, I was awarded the Pickering Fellowship with the U.S. Department of State to be able to attend graduate school and work in the Foreign Service after graduation. 

Unfortunately,  as a Posse Leadership Scholar, only tuition is guaranteed and as a senior, federal help is limited. I have to pay $5,000 in order to receive my diploma, but I do not have the stability to afford such a large loan from a bank. With your help, I know that this can be resolved.
