Please help me to perform my Swan Song at Para World Champs

My name is Deborah Daniel. I was rendered paraplegic after a traumatic boat explosion in 1997. I'm lucky to be alive as others lost their lives.

Following my retirement from Staffordshire Police, I was introduced to carriage driving through the wonderful RDA and have never looked back. I had a mission, a goal, to represent my Country. To wear the Union Jack Flag on my chest.

I have worn that flag at 6 World Championships, competing & completing every one.

I am so proud, medals won, higher medals lost by less than a penalty.

In 2023 I was awarded the FEI Gold Badge of Honour for my endeavours. The first & only British Para Driver to do so far.

I am extremely proud.

However, I just want one more chance to better myself & hopefully be part of The British Para Driving Squad, 2025, that travels to Germany and brings home a different coloured medal, other than bronze.

I'm fundraising to assist in covering costs in order to train, travel, pay entry fees, cover fuel costs including the transport of my carriages as well as the pony, to compete and secure selection for what will be my 7th and final time competing for the British Para Driving Squad, proudly wearing that Union Jack upon my chest for the very last time; my "Swansong".

I will be driving Capitola Mr.Houdini, ("H"), owned and generously loaned to me by Averina Snow since 2020. This pony and the superb training I receive has taken me to the highest level of National Able Bodied competition; Advanced Single Pony. An equal amongst my competitors.

I have an excellent training and support crew in the GB POD Training Group. They are going above and beyond to get me to this World Championship.

I would never have had the aforementioned opportunities had it not been for the RDA, and as such I will always remain one of their biggest supporters and ambassadors; encouraging others wherever I can, whatever level of disability. There are a whole list of people to thank including my first club Chester Horse Driving Trials Ltd. and its members

Unfortunately my dreams cost money and the amount I'm asking for is only a part of what is required. As a non olympic sport, Para Carriagedrivers receive no British Equestrian or lottery funding. We have to fund raise for ourselves and our management team.

However, I humbly, request you to consider deeply and give generously whatever little you may be able to afford , to help my final dream come true and close my International Driving Career on a high.
