Please help me to help this unique and wonderful charity!

What does it really mean to sponsor someone? Well, it's simply that you're making a promise and so am I. You're helping a special cause because I am too. We're in this together and if you love animals (who doesn't?) and believe they and their elderly owners are worth supporting, then you've landed on the right page.

I'm Lesley and I am a runner. I'm also an animal lover and in 2025, I'm going to combine the two to make a difference for a charity which came into my life following the tragic and untimely death of our previous dog. The Mutts Nutts Rescue helped us through that difficult time and resulted in us adopting our beautiful dog Basil and me becoming a Trustee.

I'm running the Edinburgh Marathon on 25/5/25 (as well as the Cambridge half marathon in March and the Berlin half marathon in April). I'm raising money to benefit The Mutts Nutts Rescue, and any donation will help make an impact.

The Mutts Nutts Rescue is a small animal/people rescue based in Stamford, Lincs. Dedicated to helping the elderly and the terminally ill with their pets when they can no longer manage alone. We work with individuals, their families or other services to secure a safe and happy ongoing story for beloved furry companions. Our unique approach ensures a lifetime watching brief of any animal we care for - this means we can rehome pets to elderly folk who find themselves alone before they might naturally need to give up on pets.

I ran my first marathon in April 2024 and I know I can complete the distance again. However, with the extra incentive of your confidence in me and your generous donations, I am more determined than ever to make a difference for this wonderful charity and the people & animals we support.
