PLEASE HELP ME, HELP TANKER GET THE SURGERY HE NEEDS

Hello, for those who don’t know me, I’m Tonya Chadwell. I’m here today to introduce you to Tanker. Tanker came to us as a stray. My daughter found him in a grocery store parking lot in a box that somebody had dropped off. He was a handful as a puppy, into everything, but he was easily trained and is actually very smart. His personality is funny and he is full of love. I can’t begin to tell you how much company he is for me and how much he helps me. He is such a joy and I love him so very much.

About a week ago, Tanker started limping and holding his leg up, crying at night in pain. I got him to the vet (thanks to Baldwin County Humane Society) and found out that he has a torn ACL , torn meniscus and will need surgery as soon as possible to repair it. In addition, the X-rays showed what appears to be two bone spurs: one is sticking straight out on the bone about the size of a pencil, and another one close to his pad on his left foot. The vet said he would not do the surgery because he had never seen anything quite like it and felt Tanker needed an orthopedic surgeon to address his problems. Surgery is his only option to stop the pain; and he’s in terrible pain. My heart is broken.

UPDATE; Tanker saw an orthopedic doctor today and was diagnosed with Ruptured Anterior Cruciate Ligament and needs surgery right away.

The surgery he needs will cost $3,800 I have paid $400 leaving a balance of $3,400., . I do not have pet insurance and will need the money upfront to schedule the surgery. I am having several medical issues right now and have had some problems with my house, not to mention that my phone was stolen about a year ago and somebody has taken money from me, charged and opened credit cards in my name, and withdrew money from my retirement account, which has totally strapped me financially. I need help so I can schedule Tanker for surgery. If anyone could help me, I would be so thankful. It's very hard to ask for help, but I cannot let Tanker continue to be in pain. The surgery will take place at Theodore Animal Hospital. I will withdraw any monies collected and pay the hospital directly. I promise to post where all monies are going and will be accountable for all monies collected . Dr says Tanker needs surgery asap, actually wanted to keep him overnight and do the surgery this morning but I did not have the money to cover the cost of the surgery. I would greatly appreciate any help that I can get. Thanks for listening to my story.
