Dear Sir/Madam,
We respectfully submit this humanitarian appeal on behalf of a displaced Palestinian family from Khan Younis (Hamad City), Gaza, who have been severely affected by the ongoing conflict.
The family is headed by Mr. Ahmed (40), father of a 1-year-8-month-old son, Elias, who was born during the war while the family was living in temporary shelter. Prior to the conflict, Ahmed owned a 150-square-meter home and worked to provide stability for his family. On January 5, 2024, their home was destroyed, and they were forced to flee under active hostilities. Since then, they have been residing in a tent under extremely challenging conditions.
The family includes several members with urgent health needs:
- Elias (1 year, 8 months) is experiencing anemia and malnutrition.
- Ahmed’s wife (23) requires medical and psychological support due to trauma-related health challenges.
- Ahmed’s father (65) lives with diabetes, heart disease, and hypertension.
- His mother (60) is undergoing treatment for cancer.
- His 17-year-old sister has special needs requiring ongoing care.
Currently, the family lacks stable shelter, adequate nutrition, clean water, essential medication, sanitation facilities, and appropriate seasonal clothing. Prolonged food insecurity has significantly affected the health and well-being of the children, elderly, and medically vulnerable members of the household.
We are seeking support to assist with:
- Securing safe shelter or housing assistance
- Providing nutritious food and clean drinking water
- Accessing necessary medical treatment and medications
- Supplying basic clothing and essential items
Any assistance extended to this family would contribute meaningfully to improving their living conditions and safeguarding the health of its most vulnerable members.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely, Ahmad
